About our Basketball Program

Our goal is to provide athletes with the basic knowledge and fundamentals of basketball while maintaining a fun and safe environment. Each week we will focus on skill sets in these following areas - Ball handling, passing, defense, and shooting.  We spend the last 10-15 minutes applying what we have learned in a scrimmage/game situation. The last few sessions of the season will be used to take our skill work and play full games.    We have incorporated the most modern and current basketball techniques into our curriculum, and developed teaching methods that work best for children and teens. Basketball is a TEAM-ORIENTED sport and we encourage students to demonstrate teamwork, sportsmanship and dedication to being part of the team while participating in our program.

All participants will receive a collectible participation and/or achievement award pertainig to the specific event. There will be a nominal fee to participate in the  special events, paid for at the event upon registration or online pre-registration. These event fees help cover the cost of the facility, awards, staff, officials, and other various overheard expenses. Uniforms are also required to attend these events!

Can parents watch the class?

We take great steps to provide the safest, uninterrupted learning environment for your child. Parents are invited to watch the first lesson and the awards ceremonies. Spectators are discouraged during regular practices as children get easily distracted and may not focus on the coaches instructions. An environment with minimal distractions provides a better learning atmosphere.

To prevent unwanted guests and strangers in the environment, Champions in Motion, our sponsors, and facilities require everyone to sign in on the forms provided. Parents are encouraged to volunteer as “Parent Helpers”. Volunteers are often needed to assist the coaches. Parents, when volunteering as helpers please read and sign the Parent Helper Sign-In Sheet located at the check-in area.
